Many students in our community do not have opportunities to gain exposure from professional role models essential for developing career interests in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
Through Career Exploration, United Way of Lake County coordinates quarterly experiences for 6th graders, such as science experiments, panel discussions and presentations, that highlight the diversity of the people and the job opportunities in STEM.
We create career and vocational pathways for kids early before they start middle school, so they’re inspired and motivated to study hard in school.
